This time, the fabrics sourced by our buyer in the US included two pieces of M-1945 sleeping bag material and one piece of heavy-duty tarp or tent fabric. First, the M-1945, as the name suggests, was adopted by the US military in 1945 towards the end of WWII. It remained in issue for a long period thereafter. One piece is from the 1967 fiscal year, issued during the Vietnam War period. (Image available) The faint number ‘67’ was visible. The other piece is from the 1976 fiscal year. Both are virtually unused NOS (New Old Stock) items. The material is water-resistant cotton. As the name suggests, it serves as a cover for a sleeping bag. (Image available) The markings ‘76-C’ were visible near the bottom. The other piece of thick fabric, judging by its thickness, was likely used to form a tent or as a tarp. Based on the fabric, this is also estimated to be from around the Vietnam War period. The body uses a single piece of mahogany. To preserve the original feel as much as possible, we deliberately left some roughness and unevenness, connecting the pieces without using nails. Additionally, it features removable iron legs and cushions. The cushions use firm chip foam as a base, layered with durable high-resilience foam for an overall slightly firm feel, mounted on webbing belts. Furthermore, the armrests on both sides double as speakers, enabling Bluetooth music playback.
